Digital toolkit for International Labour Organization (ILO)

SFUVET has been commissioned to develop a digital toolkit for implementation of the ILO-defined ‘Core Skills for the 21st Century’. This will entail development of guidelines on how to implement transversal skills and how to include transversal skills in syllabuses, training courses, etc. SFIVET will also identify good practices that enable transversal skills to be taught in various relevant VET contexts.

The International Labour Organization (ILO) is the United Nations agency for the world of work. It sets international labour standards, promotes rights at work and encourages decent employment opportunities, the enhancement of social protection and the strengthening of dialogue on work-related issues. According to the ILO, many countries are facing a growing mismatch between qualifications available and qualifications in demand, which means that certain transversal skills will become increasingly important for workers to be able to compete in tomorrow's labour market.
