Official visit of Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia to SFIVET

Renens, 16 May 2019 – Indonesia has launched an offensive to develop dual-track VET programmes to facilitate the school-to-work transition for young people. A delegation from Indonesia has expressed interest in the expertise that SFIVET has to offer.

On Thursday, 16 May, in the early afternoon, the Vice President of Indonesia, Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, visited the SFIVET campus in Lausanne accompanied by a large delegation. There he met with SFIVET Board Chairman Philippe Gnaegi and interim SFIVET Director Jean-Pierre Perdrizat to discuss dual-track VET. Last April, the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Switzerland, Muliaman Hadad, visited the SFIVET campus in Zollikofen for initial discussions.
