Need for advisory services in vocational education and training

Where do apprentices and those responsible for workplace training go to obtain help with personal and training-related difficulties? The Canton of Zurich commissioned SFIVET’s Evaluation Unit to examine the range of advisory services available to companies and apprentices. It was found that while there are many advisory offices to choose from, the range of services is sometimes so confusing that people fail to use them. SFIVET’s Evaluation Unit recommends that a specific coaching centre be created with a website. This coaching centre would then act as a central point of contact for those responsible for workplace training and learners in difficult situations.
