Swiss upper secondary vocational education and training (VET) consists of around 230 training occupations that differ institutionally, for example, in terms of their specificity (e.g. share of practical and theoretical education and training), differently standardised examinations and number of requirement levels. The dissertation project investigates how this heterogeneity in VET impacts VET-Diploma Holders’ early labour market outcomes, in particular their income and mobility chances.
