The Bulgarian delegation visited the Swiss company HERZOG Bau and Holzbau AG in Stettlen. Co-owner Thomas Haas provided the group with a first-hand glimpse of workplace training from an entrepreneur’s perspective. Learners and workplace trainers shared their valuable experience and answered the delegation’s questions.

The Bulgarian delegation also visited the training centre IDM Thun, AZW Winterthur and the company General Dynamics.

The ‘Domino’ project is part of Switzerland’s contribution to EU enlargement. Managed and funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the project is intended to help introduce a dual-track VET system in Bulgaria. The project ends in 2019.

SFIVET has been involved as a partner in this project since 2015, particularly in the development of occupations, the training of vocational school teachers, workplace trainers and VET specialists.
