On Thursday 14 September, the 2nd Swiss Conference on International Cooperation in Vocational and Professional Education and Training (IC-VPET) was held at the Vocational Training Centre in Biel. It was jointly organised by SFIVET, SERI, SDC, SECO, SEM and the FDFA’s Directorate of Political Affairs. The event was inaugurated with the launch of an animated film in which the various federal offices explained their respective roles and different types of activities.
Three seminars were held in the afternoon, offering the opportunity for a deeper exchange of experiences. Mergim Jahiu, from SFIVET’s International Relations Division, organised and directed a seminar on Swiss expertise in the area of international cooperation in vocational and professional education and training (IC-VPET). Among other things, this seminar gave training specialists and international cooperation experts the chance to discuss the central issue of Swiss expertise and how it can be adapted to other national contexts.
