This study should shed light on which work skills have become more/less important on the Swiss labour market. The study is also intended to determine if and how changes in work skills demand can be observed on the labour market.
Digitisation offers both economic opportunities and risks for specific branches and occupational groups. Despite relatively high price and wage levels, the Swiss labour market has remained robust in the past in response to challenges of structural change. This study should facilitate successful planning of the adjustment process needed to address the challenges of digitisation. The results of this study will be presented to SECO at the end of August 2017.
